Christmas music. We've all heard them. Every year. We're hearing them now probably. But how closely are we paying attention to what they say? Below are my favorite Christmas songs. See if you can identify what song each line comes from. No matter how many you get correct, happy holidays!
Christian Carols:
- Born to raise the sons of earth, born to give them second birth.
- A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
- In your palace warm, mighty king
- To save us all from Satan's power, when we were gone astray.
- I played my best for Him
- The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing.
- Son of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
- Ox and ass before Him bow, and He is in the manger now
- I love Thee, Lord Jesus; look down from the sky
- That mourns in lonely exile here, until the Son of God appear
Miscellaneous Songs
- Mom says the hippo would eat me up but then, teacher says a hippo is a vegetarian
- Ye who now will bless the poor, shall yourselves find blessing
- I don't need expensive things, they don't matter to me
- Faithful friends who are dear to us, gather near to us once more
- There's a world outside your window, and it's a world of dread and fear
- But if you'll really hold me tight, all the way home I'll be warm.
- To face unafraid, the plans that we've made
- May your days be merry and bright
- Let's take that road before us and sing a chorus or two
- And so I'm offering this simple phrase, to kids from one to ninety-two
